i think that there was no better photographer than weegee the famous. his nickname was ‘weegee’ because of his uncanny ability to know where the trouble was in the city (weegee, like ouija board). i totally believed in ouija boards when i was younger and dreaded anyone dragging the spider webbed box out of the closet any time that there was a sleepover.  “why play with fire?” i thought to myself.  i was an 89 year old WASP in a second grader’s body.
