today the eight year old minions listened with rapt attention as i read them select snippets from a dali biography for kids.  most beloved fact:  that dali considered his moustache his “antenna” and spoke to aliens that way. second most beloved fact:  that he once filled his limousine (sic?) with cauliflower. third most beloved fact:  in the 1930s he once wore a diving suit to give a speech. i told them that his birthday was today.  i think it was yesterday?  it matters not.  they believe what i say.  i don’t stretch the line toooo far.  but with things like birthdays - man, i have free reign on deciding those.
