not to be a bummer, but teddy roosevelt?  that man had a tragic young life.  he lost the love of his life two days after she gave birth to their daughter.  her kidney disease was cloaked by her pregnancy.  he wrote a private tribute to her, but after that he would not speak publicly or privately of her ever again.  this is his journal page on the day that she died.
